This is not sanctioned by the film industry or even by Robbie or any of my kiddos...but I thought I'd give you my latest picks and pans in the newest Hollywood movies:
Pan: Fantastic 4 and the Silver Surfer:
-Give me a break...someone hire a new writer already! The lines were corny, contrived and the plot had tremendous holes. I mean, if you've got Jessica Alba in hot outfits, why spoil it with stupid lines and poor plots?
-I didn't like the first one...but after reading some reviews and consulting with 18 year old son Daniel, we decided to give it a try...bad idea!
Pick: Live Free or Die Hard...Bruce Willis' newest flick
Awesome all the way...action, good writing, great bad guy...and loveable, bleeding tough guy John McLain (Willis) make this a non-stop must see!
There you have it...Bill's lastest

Daniel and Bill Doubles Champs in Tourney!
Daniel and his old man survived 9 hours of tennis on Saturday, June 23rd to pull off a win in the Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days tournament. Last year we won in the "B" division, and this year we won in the "A" division.
It was pretty good tennis, Daniel played a bit better than the old guy did, but together we survived the 90-100 degree weather and were the last team standing. We played against some friends, another father-son duo, in the final and it ended in a tie breaker! We came on strong in the tie break which we won 7-1 with an emphatic overhead from Bill that unfortunately hit the son on the other team in the head!
It was a great way to finish a long day...
It looks like Daniel is off to Southern Virginia University to play tennis in August. We're excited, even though Robbie's concerned about how far away it is.
Talk to you soon,
Bill

Bill's done two triathlons in a row...
While I'm not setting any records for speed, my times are improving and I'm feeling much better especially swimming than in the beginning! Here's a picture of a quartet of us at the most recent tri (another sprint: 1/2 mile swim, 10 mile bike, 3.1 mile run) at Benjamin, UT. It was along the shores of the lovely Utah lake.
I'm catching on to relaxing in the water while swimming (not rocket science here huh). This week end Daniel and I defend our doubles tennis win from last year in nearby Pleasant Grove, then I'll do about 2-3 more triathlons in July.
Hope all is well,
Bill
