I'm going to do my best to get you all caught up on our Christmas prose and happenings. I have had the poem done for a while, but we have lacked the pictures to go along with it...well, here's the poem, and I'll work on getting some pictures to accompany it later! (Bill)
Happy Holidays, 2007, from the Lawlers (and Kearls and Medinas)
Like many of you, our family is growing in number and size,
No- Robbie didn’t give birth, but our children are joining in marital ties.
It’s not quite as expensive as having a child of your own,
And after the wedding, you get a new ‘in-law’ fully grown.
Cristina Kay is now a rhyming Cristina Medina thanks to new hubbie Juan,
Last January 6th they tied the knot the entire day was filled with love and fun.
First came the vows, done in English and Spanish, and then Cristina hugged all in sight.
The reception was rockin’ with great food, even a mariachi band and dancing all night!
Speaking of rockin’ our Robbie is as busy as ever and a happy Grandma of one to boot,
She’s a VP at Persogenics helping people communicate better and actually give a hoot.
She’s also working with a group of ladies to do seminars to women of varied age,
She’s also teaching a dating class in Sunday School to BYU students, acting as their sage.
Bill is loving life and finished 4 triathlons last year, 3 he did okay but one kind of lame,
His tennis league Utah finals got soured by injuries sustained at a BYU Frisbee game.
He’s still having fun adjusting the spines of lots of families from the tiny to the tall,
And at BYU in a LDS single’s ward bishopric, he is simply having a ball.
At Thanksgiving in Greensboro, we hung out with Becca, Jamey, and Eli which was cool.
They have a great new fixer upper home with a yard, lots of trees and even a pool.
Wes and Celynne live in a home at the Vineyard’s Chappaquiddick near the super rich,
Wes is now six years at the Shipyard and loves his ocean view and happy niche.
Matty keeps ‘a movin’ from summer in the Vineyard to Park City in the cold,
Still sculpturing in marble, busy with art, rock climbing and boarding with the bold.
Carrie is working hard at Salt Lake City’s new Cheesecake Factory restaurant all day,
Still a little bit of tennis and other fun pursuits she occasionally does have time to play.
Daniel graduated from high school and 5A Utah tennis doubles did take by storm,
Now at ‘mighty’ Southern Virginia University he plays tennis and survives his dorm.
He turns 19 in May, so his LDS missionary papers will go in pretty soon
He could go most anywhere in the world, we’re hoping Italy but it could be Rangoon!
That’s our year in review as we send our greetings to y’all.
We’d love to see you this year, and once Daniel’s gone, we’re having a free for all!
May the Spirit of the Holiday season bless you wherever you may roam,
And may you continue to have love and happiness in your life and in your home.
With Love,
The Lawlers
